It's Official: US Democratic Party Commits Suicide
Apparently, those who think the losing strategy of pandering to the right should be continued are still at the helm - Left I quotes a NYT article:
"He is a teetotaling Mormon, a former Capitol Hill police officer who opposes abortion and was a cosponsor of the constitutional amendment banning flag-burning...Yet for all that, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada...is about to become the new Senate minority leader."

No one can say he's pro-abortion. When the abortion-freak judicial nominees are up, they won't be able to scream baby-killer at him.
Reid is a more effective speaker than Daschle was. Reid is a business-like Senator, whom I haven't seen caught with his pants down (I've only seen that happen to a half dozen or so of them, but it is embarassing).
Yes, it sucks. Even worse are the results of the recent election. The people fail in a Republic, often enough. Our people are failing.
